As part of his daily experiments, the scientist decided to pour some unknown substance on his favorite snack. This was not a good idea as that substance caused a big chemical explosion, destroying the scientist’s lab, and probably causing a lot of neighboring property damage. This explosion not only destroyed the scientist’s lab, but also transformed him into a pickle, dubbed Pete, and released a cloud of dangerous chemicals into the air.

As this dangerous chemical blew through the air, people started to change. Normal, everyday people were transformed into monsters. Not really sure what caused the rest of the world to go into total chaos, but Pete, the human pickle, has to make some amends for what he accidentally caused. Pete not only takes on the mission of trying to eliminate the monsters, but also the nasty chemical poisoning as well. This monstrous game documents Pete’s journey to survive the new realization that the world he once knew is now poisoned against his existence.

The main feature of the game is the need to survive an attack of enemies that comes in waves. Players need to be able to move Pete around in a large open area to avoid the many enemies. The enemies will keep on coming, and they will look for Pete. Predicting where the next wave of monsters is coming from is a key aspect of the game. Many monsters come at once, so players are given a specific amount of time to move away from the place the monsters are coming from so they do not get over run.

The player has to manage picking up resources as they play the game. Pete starts with a weaker pistol that he will outgrow very quickly as enemies over run him.
