You must use the ball combining system to your advantage and unleash powerful combos to take down the hordes of enemies to progress deeper into the infinite pit. RPG elements and a roguelike structure are used in every run due to the randomized starting ball allocation.

The game has a deep base-building system as you construct a base on top of the pit and expand New Ballbylon. There are about 70 storage options. Different buildings give different rewards. Some buildings give instant rewards, while some give permanent power-ups. Other buildings unlock characters to be played.
