TownsFolk has a Roguelite Campaign. In this mode, the goal is to discover a mystery. Each time you don’t find the answer, you learn a little more, and new details about your surroundings evolve. The mechanics create a procedural map that gives a sense of progression. Battles in the game are many and diverse. Each enemy has special behaviors and weaknesses that require you to adapt to learn their patterns.

The game gives you the choice of reaching the end of the map to finish your goal, and fighting the last encounter, or you can stop at any time. Each time you reach the end you learn a little bit more about this land you work to protect.
