MIUI-ify has moved the Notification Shade and Quick settings logic used in MIUI 12 to the bottom of the screen. Now users can manage their devices regardless the size of their screens by just a swipe up from the bottom.

MIUI-ify brings immediacy to the notification shade. Users can scroll through notifications, perform actionable notifications, dismiss notifications, or even reply to messages, all without any re-positioning of the arm. MIUI-ify is not just a modification of the visuals of Android, but a system repositioning of the Notification system. MIUI-ify duplicates the notifications that would be on the top of the screen, therefore, none is missed. Along with the Notification shade, a user can reposition the Status bar. This includes battery percentage, connectivity, sound modes, and time. By repositioning them to the bottom of the screen, engaging full screen apps would not obstruct the system information.

The quick settings panel is probably my favorite part of the app. It has access to almost 40 different toggles, and they are constantly useful. There is a toggle for WiFi, Bluetooth, and airplane mode, and there are some other cool toggles like a shortcut to take a screenshot, toggle rotation, and flashlight. You can also quickly access do not disturb if you need some time to work. The quick settings panel allows a level of customization that is pretty unique and exclusive to this app. Each user is able to set up a custom control center that fits their workflow.

You are able to set up shortcuts for frequently used apps that sit in your dock, as well as shortcuts for web pages as well. These both reduce the number of clicks that are necessary to get to your most frequently used apps or sites. The dock is effectively a quick access home screen at the touch of a single finger swipe.

There is a bar that the user can tap or drag to pull up or push down the bottom app interface. This bar is adjustable to place it how the user prefers. The app also detects when the device is sideways and when a keyboard is out to hide the bar on its own so the user doesn’t accidentally pull up the interface while gaming or typing. A large amount of thought was put into the user experience to ensure the bottom interface would only be visible when the user needed it. The app is geared toward users of large, modern smartphones to provide comfort and familiarity for people using a large-screen Android device that is running the version 6 operating system.
