A key part of losing the battle is when a character’s DP is broken, and players must then care for and prioritize this character’s HP. Characters are recruited through different banners and come in different “Styles.” Different “Styles” come with different skills and stat growth. This allows players to better construct their team based on the enemy’s composition. Resource management is a key aspect of the game since players must level up their Seraph weapons and enhance them as well as level up the skills of their characters.

In the game, scientific fiction and school-life seamlessly connect. Between Life-or-death fights with the Cancer, players spend time at the academy.
